Mesmerizing Greece
CAPITAL – ATHENS.
CURRENCY – EURO.
LANGUAGE – GREEK.
Greece is strategically located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa.
THE MOST VISITED TOURISTIC ATTRACTION :
1. A) Sparta– Sparta was the ancient rival of Athens and known for her fierce warriors (see the historically inaccurate movie “300”). The city has a long history and ruins to explore. There is no shortage of things to do, excursions to take, and places to eat when you visit the city.
2. B) Santorini – Santorini is famous for its cliff-side homes which are painted blazing white with deep blue roofs. They are symbolic of Greece. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. Don’t miss watching the sunset at Oia, visiting the many historical sites, or exploring the vineyards.
3. C) Mykonos– One of the main tourist destinations in Greece, Mykonos attracts cruises, families, and honeymooning couples. It is the most expensive island in the Cyclades, but it’s tough to resist with its quiet winding streets, small alleys lined with whitewashed houses overlooking a beautiful harbor, beautiful beaches, amazing restaurants, and out of control nightlife.
D) IOS – Located in the Cycladic Islands, Ios has the wildest nightlife out of all the Greek islands. It is the summer party island where days are spent hungover on the beach and nights spent eating cheap food and drinking until the comes up. While there’s a lot to do on the island if you don’t want to party, it always seems like 95% of people come here to party.
