Scintillating Spain
The best time to travel in Spain is spring and fall because that is when good weather occurs. The months of April, May, June, September, and October are very good for travel. Summer is quite hot, especially in inland cities like Seville, Cordoba, and Madrid.
Cradled on the Iberian Peninsula in southwest Europe lies the captivating mainland of Spain. On the other sides it is flanked by the Mediterranean sea to the south and east, the Atlantic ocean to the northwest and the Bay of Biscay to the northeast. Some interesting Spanish archipelagos also lie in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Spain’s pleasant Mediterranean climate, its dramatic coastlines, charming landscapes, rich historical legacy, eclectic culture, culinary expertise and vibrant nightlife have made it a much sought-after destination, and Spain’s international tourist industry is among the largest in the world. Madrid, the capital and a colourful cosmopolitan, is home to the Royal Palace of the monarchs, the singular Prado museum that showcases the works of European masters, Puerta del Sol - the hub of its cultural activities and the lively San Miguel Market. Barcelona its top tourist attraction boasts of the architectural splendours of Casa Batllo and the Sagrada Familia church. Its must do’s include a walk down the tree-lined La Rambla avenue, and sunbathing at its most popular beach - Barceloneta.
Barcelona and Madrid are both well-known for their buzzing culture and happening nightlife. And of course a description of Spain cannot end without a mention of Football its key sport, as Spain is home to two of the world’s most renowned football clubs - Real Madrid C.F. and FC Barcelona.
